In-Line, In-Process Detection: Delaminations, Defects, Flaws, Blows, Disbonds & Blisters, in wood and inorganic based panels. The Automation Industries Corporation 5700 Series Quality Assurance System is an ultrasonic device capable of detecting blows, delaminations, blisters and other internal lack of bond defects in wood and inorganic based panels at normal production rates. The inspection is performed without physically contacting the product. The system utilizes current microcircuit technology for maximum reliability and consists of independent subsystems called channels or zones. The independent subsystem concept enhances the overall system reliability and serviceability. Each channel inspects a 1.0 inch wide strip the entire length of the product. The fixturing design provides flexibility in the width of product and may use multiple scan zones. The system utilizes low frequency, air coupled ultrasound to inspect the internal bonds in the product. Ultrasonic energy packets propagate through the product and are modified by its internal structure. The emerging energy contains data that, when processed by the system, can be used to indicate the presence of defects and their length. Examples of Aircoupled Nondestructive Testing Systems. We produce numerous types. Fixed Position Aircoupled Arrays for Process Line Widths Up to 12'The 5700 Series Systems represent state of the art ultrasonic transducers, with transmitters 10 times more powerful than its predecessor, sophisticated signal processing, very interfaceable. Various option packages available. Readily handles many applications involving thick, difficult to penetrate materials. Cross Machine Scanning Arrays for Continuous Process Lines up to 15' WideThis system features 5700 series ultrasonics and electronics and a programmable digital drive. The machine provides web coverage from side to side. It readily handles many coextrusions, fiberglass, carbon fiber, honeycomb, corrugated and other modern laminates. Application Specific Unit for Engineered Hardwood and Laminate FlooringThis mini sized version inspects engineered hardwood flooring and other strip laminates at full moulder exit speeds and throughput. Control CenterThe local system electronics are protected from industrial environments by a heavy dutygasketed, NEMA 12 enclosure. Historian Captures, Archives, Analyzes and Exports data.
